Dr. Laticia Hill Godette has a servant’s heart and has served as a Pastor for the last 19 years. Bishop Dennis Vernon Proctor made a historic appointment on Saturday, November 13, 2021 and appointed The Reverend Dr. Laticia Hill Godette as the first woman to serve as Presiding Elder of the Camden District of the New Jersey Annual Conference of the North Eastern Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. P.E. Godette remains humble and serves with her husband, Bro. Dante Godette. They have been together for 29 years. They have three beautiful daughters(Adina, Faith and Jordan Christina).

P.E. Godette was born in Asbury Park, NJ, but she moved to Havelock, NC at the age of nine. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. P.E. Godette also went to Hood Theological Seminary, graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned a Master of Divinity. She also teaches at Hood as an Adjunct Professor.

P.E. Godette is an entrepreneur and Founder of her own Consulting Group. P.E. Godette is a productive and progressive business leader. She is shattering glass ceilings in corporate America as the CEO of Ottendorf Laboratories. She believes to whom much is given, much is required. They donated over $200,000 to Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. Also, she committed Ottendorf Laboratories to providing jobs and opportunities to historically marginalized communities. She is a visionary leader with a holistic approach to ministry. She wants people to prosper in every area (spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and financially). Dr. Godette is a prolific grant writer. This year, during a pandemic, her nonprofit gave away Ministry Grants totaling $500,000. She liquidated mortgages for three churches in the Eastern North Carolina Episcopal District (Little Zion A.M.E. Zion Church in Sneads Ferry, NC, St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church in Aurora, NC and Hyman Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Havelock, NC).

Dr. Godette is a genuine giver with a pure heart. Dr. Godette is an overcomer. She grew up extremely poor with a father in prison and a mother addicted to drugs. She empowers others and gives them hope. Dr. Godette’s testimony remains, “To God be all the glory for the great things God has done!”
